The Waterbearers, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) in the U.S. From January 2016 to September 2017, proceeds went directly to our sponsor-partner, Waves For Water. The Waterbearers, classified initially as a private foundation, was reclassified as a public charity in 2020.

Why aren’t we rated by Charity Navigator or Charity Watch? Only nonprofits that raise more than one million dollars for two consecutive years are evaluated by Charity Navigator and Charity Watch. Therefore, as a small nonprofit, we are uneligible.
